Fortive Corporation is a former Danaher spin-off that specializes in measurement, monitoring, and industrial products and technologies. The company operates through two segments: Professional Instrumentation and Industrial Technologies. Professional Instrumentation makes transmission and monitoring equipment used in lower voltage distribution power networks in addition to flow switches and pressure switches, sensors, and transducers. Industrial Technologies makes electrical power generation systems, security systems, smoke detection systems, sensors and controls, and other mechanical components. Fortive was formed in the summer of 2016.
