One of the oldest states in the union also has some of the oldest banks in the union. First Connecticut Bancorp (FCB) is the holding company for Farmington Bank, a Connecticut-based community bank tracing its roots back to the mid-1800s. The bank offers traditional deposit accounts and loan products to consumers, businesses, and government clients through about 25 branches in the suburban communities in central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Its lending activity consists primarily of commercial and residential real estate loans. The bank also offers wealth management services.
