Fibria Celulose S.a.
Pulp is the fiber of Fibria's existence. A wood pulp and paper products company, Fibria annually produces 5.3 million tons of pulp and more than 1.6 million tons of printing and writing paper. The company harvests eucalyptus trees grown on renewable plantations that cover more than 962,000 hectares in six states in Southern Brazil. It operates half-a-dozen processing plants and distributes its products through a global network of offices. Bahia-based JoVeracel (a joint venture with Stora Enso) is engaged in silviculture operations, and the production and sale of paper, pulp, and wood. Fibria was formed in 2009 by the merger of forestry companies Aracruz Celulose and Votorantim Celulose e Papel.
