Fandango, Inc.
Better than cutting ahead in line, Fandango lets you skip the line. The firm provides advance movie tickets and show time information via the Internet (at Fandango.com), phone (at 1-800-FANDANGO), and wireless mobile (mobile.fandango.com). Customers can use credit cards to guarantee tickets, which they pick up at the theater. Fandango also offers print-at-home tickets and is supported by more than 20 movie exhibitors, including Cinemark and Regal Entertainment Group, providing tickets to some 16,000 screens across the US. A group of exhibitors -- seven of the 10 largest in the US -- formed Fandango in 2000; today the company is part of Comcast Interactive Media, a division of cable giant Comcast .
