Clients include the public school systems of Minneapolis and Kern County, California. The company was a subsidiary of Accenture for two years, until 2003, when it was spun off as an independent company. Epylon is owned by Tim Blanton and Kelly Blanton (CEO and chairman, respectively), who founded the company as a dot-com in 1999, along with Stephen George.
