Empire Resorts, Inc.
Empire Resorts has taken up permanent residence in New York's playground. The company operates Catskills-area harness horseracing track Monticello Gaming and Raceway, which features pari-mutuel wagering and more than 1,500 video gaming machines (VGMs). The property, located 90 miles northwest of New York City, also includes a clubhouse, entertainment lounge, bar, and food court. Its VGMs are owned by the State of New York and are overseen by the state's Division of the Lottery, which distributes a percentage of VGM revenue to Empire Resorts. Other company revenues primarily come from wagering fees, admission fees, program and racing form sales, and food and beverages sales.
