Dominion Midstream is a Delaware limited partnership spun off from gas pipeline and power generation giant Dominion Resources in 2014 to grow a portfolio of natural gas terminaling, processing, storage, transportation, and related assets. Its first asset was a preferred equity interest in the Cove Point LNG facility. The Maryland facility offers LNG import and storage services and the transportation of natural gas and regasified LNG to Mid-Atlantic markets via the Cove Point Pipeline. In 2016 the company acquired Questar Pipeline from Dominion Resources for $1.7 billion. Dominion Midstream also oversees the Carolina Gas Transmission, an interstate natural gas pipeline serving customers across South Carolina.
