Diplomat Pharmacy is an ambassador of good health through medication. Doing business as Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, the company has grown into one of the largest privately-held specialty pharmacies in the US. It contracts with health care entities, drugmakers, and benefit providers to deliver specialty medications to patients with chronic illnesses such as arthritis, cancer, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, kidney disease, and multiple sclerosis. Diplomat also provides disease management programs, care coordination, and compounding, among other services. Founded by Dale Hagerman in 1975, the company is today owned by son and CEO Phil Hagerman and other executives.
