The company makes chemical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) used in the production of a number of drugs at its production facility in Switzerland. Corden's main products include natural and synthetic lipids and amino acid derivatives. It also manufactures lipid-based drug delivery systems and partners with major drug companies to develop custom manufacturing programs for new drug substances. The former Genzyme Pharmaceuticals was sold by Genzyme to International Chemical Investors Group (ICIG) in 2011.
