Corby Distilleries has cheered Canadian spirits since the late 1850s. The company is one of the country's major manufacturers and marketers of spirits and wines. Its own brands include Wiser's (whiskies), Polar Ice vodka, and Lamb's rum. Corby's imported offerings range from Beefeater gin to Chivas Regal, Ballantine's scotches, Jameson Irish whiskey, Kahlúa liqueur, and Jacob's Creek wines. The company claims about a 25% share of the Canadian spirits market, equivalent to four million-plus cases of spirits a year. Corby also exports its products, primarily to the US and UK. The company was founded by English immigrant Henry Corby and is largely owned by Hiram Walker & Sons, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard.
