Continental Building Products (CBP) has got homeowners surrounded. The company is a leading manufacturer of gypsum wallboard (aka drywall) and complementary finishing products used in new residential and commercial construction, and for repairs and remodels. CBP manufactures its products at plants in Florida, Kentucky, and New York for sale east of the Mississippi River and in eastern Canada. The company claims to be the only US producer of gypsum wallboard to use only 100% synthetic gypsum. Product lines include LiftLite, a lightweight product, Mold Defense, which protects against mildew, and Weather Defense exterior sheeting. The wallboard producer went public in 2014 in an offering valued at $185 million.
