Consolidated Communications Holdings, Inc.
Consolidated Communications, Inc. (CCI) was formed as a holding company to acquire Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company. CCI is a subsidiary of Consolidated Communications Holdings, and serves as the holding company for the parent's operations in Illinois (Consolidated Communications Holdings also has operations in Pennsylvania and Texas). CCI's operating subsidiaries operate 35 incumbent local exchanges serving primarily small towns and rural areas of Coles, Christian, Effingham, Montgomery, and Shelby counties in the central part of the state. They have about 69,000 local access lines in service and serve residential (58% of lines) and small business customers.
