Coeur Mining (formerly Coeur d'Alene Mines) gets to the heart of the matter when it comes to precious metals. A leading primary silver producer, the company holds interests in silver and gold properties in Australia, North America, and South America. It produces 18 million ounces of silver and more than 226,490 ounces of gold annually. Coeur has proved and probable reserves of about 220.4 million ounces of silver and almost 2 million ounces of gold. It produces most of its revenue from the San Bartolomé mine in Bolivia and Palmarejo mine in Mexico. Sales of silver account for about three-fourths of the company's revenue. Most of the minerals are sold to bullion-trading banks and to smelters.
