Clearfield provides fiber optic cable and related optical networking equipment. Products include fiber distribution panels and cable management systems, optical components (couplers, multiplexers, and splitters), and copper and fiber optic cable assemblies. It sells directly to telecom service providers and OEMs. Formerly called APA Enterprises, the company merged its operations with those of its primary subsidiary, APA Cables & Networks (APACN), and changed its name to Clearfield in 2008. Previously the company also operated an optronics unit, but it exited that business in 2007.
