"Take Me Home, Country Roads" may be the (unofficial) state song of West Virginia, but City Holding hopes all roads lead to its City National Bank of West Virginia subsidiary, which operates some 70 branches in the Mountaineer State and in neighboring areas of southern Ohio and eastern Kentucky. Targeting individuals and regional businesses, the bank offers standard deposit products, loans, credit cards, insurance, trust, and investment services. Residential mortgages and home equity loans constitute more than half of City Holding's loan portfolio. The company plans to enter a new market through the acquisition of Virginia Savings Bank, which has five branches in the northern part of that state.
