"To help protect and serve" could be the motto of China Information Technology (CNIT) if it needed one. CNIT isn't the police, but it makes software applications for law enforcemnent and other public safety and security-related organizations. Its core product, geographic information systems (GIS) software, provides map imaging and GPS data to law enforcement agencies. Its other security products include first-responder software (which consolidates emergency contact phone numbers) and border control software (biometrics and other identification systems used to identify travelers at border crossings). CNIT sells most of its products within China to provincial and municipal government agencies.
