Gaseous form or liquid state are both OK with Cheniere Energy, which is engaged in the development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving-terminal business. It owns and operates Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana (with a capacity of 16.9 billion cu. ft.) and the Creole Trail Pipeline, which interconnects the Sabine Pass LNG terminal with North American natural gas markets. Cheniere Energy also operates an LNG and natural gas marketing business and has minor exploration and production assets. Its  Cheniere Energy Partners unit (which Cheniere Energy agreed to buy in 2016 before dropping the idea) operates the 59.5%-owned Sabine Pass LNG terminal.
