Hatco Corporation makes synthetic lubricants and lubricant-grade esters for aviation, automotive, refrigeration, and industrial applications. Its other operations include the manufacture of specialty plasticizers, dielectric fluids, personal care product esters, and other specialty chemicals. The company also provides research and development and custom manufacturing services. Its manufacturing facilities are located in northern New Jersey, in close proximity to both New York City and North Jersey's deepwater ports. Hatco and its affiliate company, lubricant maker Anderol, are subsidiaries of specialty chemicals giant Chemtura. The parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2009.
