Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners (formerly Brookfield Renewable Power) produces electricity for the Americas. The power generating and marketing operations of Brookfield Asset Management operates 170 hydro power facilities in the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia (a total of 32 generating stations), as well as in the US (103) and Brazil (35). The company has almost 5,000 MW of capacity and operates in 67 river systems and 10 US power markets. Brookfield Renewable Energy also has three wind-power facilities and two thermal plants which complement its hydroelectric power activities. It operates the 189 MW-capacity Prince Wind project, the largest wind farm in Canada.
