If all roads lead to Bouygues, that's because the company built them. Bouygues (pronounced "bweeg") operates in three primary business areas: construction, telecommunications, and media. Its road work, buildings, and property development contracting services account for about 80% of the group's sales and operate through road builder Colas (about 35% of sales), Bouygues Construction (35%), and Bouygues Immobilier (10%), which develops commercial and residential properties. The group also owns a 90% stake in Bouygues Telecom (France's #3 mobile phone carrier), more than 40% of TF1 (France's #1 TV channel), and 29% of industrial group ALSTOM.
