AxoGen, Inc.
AxoGen, formerly known as LecTec, is an intellectual property licensing and holding company. It licenses topical patches that deliver over-the-counter drugs through the skin. Its patents, used by pharmaceutical companies, include adhesive patches, wound dressings, and inhalation therapies. AxoGen licenses its technology to Novartis for that company's Triaminic Vapor Patch, a cough suppressant for adults and children, and is pursuing additional licensing agreements with Novartis. After acquiring AxoGen Corporation in 2011, LecTec changed its name to AxoGen, Inc., and became the parent of AxoGen Corporation, which develops and sells peripheral nerve reconstruction and regeneration products.
