Aqua America helps keep water clean and people quenched. It is a holding company for regulated utilities that provide water distribution and wastewater services to about 3 million US residents, as well as commercial and industrial customers. The company now operates in 10 states. After a swap of operations with American Water Works in 2012, Aqua America's regulated utilities spread across nine states, mainly along the East Coast and in the South. The company also owns a nonregulated wastewater utility in Georgia. Its operating subsidiaries manage the utilities.
