American Midstream Partners, Lp
If natural gas exploration and production companies are hunters, then American Midstream Partners is a gatherer. Serving oil and gas companies, American Midstream gathers, treats, processes, and transports natural gas through a network of 1,400 miles of pipeline stretching across Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. Its owned and operated assets include eight interstate or intrastate pipelines, nine gathering systems, and three processing facilities. The company has counted Exxon, ConocoPhillips, and Dow Hydrocarbons as customers. Formed in 2009, American Midstream went public in 2011 through a $73 million IPO. In 2016 it agreed to merge with JP Energy Partners LP.
