Spanos Companies bridges many operations -- from building, managing, and selling multifamily housing units to constructing master-planned communities, as well as developing land and building commercial space. With divisions and operations in about 10 states, the firm has built about 2 million sq. ft. of office properties, 120,000-plus apartment homes, and more than 400 developments. Other operations include mixed-use development and property management. Founder Alex Spanos also owns the NFL's San Diego Chargers. He has handed over the reins of the family-owned companies to his sons Dean (president and CEO) and Michael Spanos (EVP).
