Waste Connections (formerly Progressive Waste Solutions) collects, transports, and disposes of nonhazardous residential, commercial, and industrial waste and provides recycling services. The company serves some six million customers in about 40 US states, as well as in six Canadian provinces. It operates a network of collection units, landfills, and recycling facilities, and provides oilfield waste services through its R360 Environmental Solutions subsidiary. In 2016 Progressive Waste Solutions acquired US-based competitor Waste Connections (now Waste Connections US) and took that name.
