Cameco Corporation
Is your nuclear reactor running low on fuel? Cameco may be able to help. The company is one of the world's largest producers of uranium, with about 16% of the world's production. It controls some 480 million pounds of proved and probable reserves, with mines in Canada, Kazakhstan, and the US and projects in Australia. It converts its ore to fuel-grade products used by nuclear power plants, including 32%-owned generating company Bruce Power. In Canada, Cameco mines the world's largest known deposit of high-grade uranium, McArthur River, and another site, Rabbit Lake. It is developing Cigar Lake, second in size only to McArthur River. Cameco is also the largest producer in the US (in Wyoming and Nebraska).
