The Anchor Hocking name is nearly synonymous with glassware. In existence since 1905, the company is the nation's second-largest supplier of glassware. It makes and markets beverageware, cookware, serveware, storage items, and giftware. With US manufacturing plants located in the Ohio Valley, the company also serves as a third-party manufacturer for other companies. Anchor Hocking's products are sold through catalogs and US retailers, such as Wal-Mart and Target, as well as directly to foodservice and specialty markets. Private equity firm Monomoy Capital Partners, which focuses on middle-market investments, owns and runs Anchor Hocking as an operating subsidiary of EveryWare Global.
