Alsco has built a big business outfitting its customers in uniforms, linens, and related products. Operating from more than150 branches in about 10 countries worldwide, the company (whose name stands for American linen supply company) rents and sells uniforms, linens, towels, and clean room garments to more than 300,000 customers in North America. It also manages janitorial services, provides washroom supplies, and launders and sterilizes garments. Alsco serves the automotive, food processing, restaurant, medical, and IT industries, as well as the federal government. Founded in 1889 by George Steiner, the company is owned and operated by the Steiner family.
